Linearizability of planar polynomial Hamiltonian systems

Isochronicity and linearizability of two-dimensional polynomial Hamiltonian systems are revisited and new results are presented. We give a new computational procedure to obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions for the linearization of a polynomial system. Using computer algebra systems we provide necessary and sufficient conditions for linearizability of Hamiltonian systems with homogeneous non-linearities of degrees 5, 6 and 7. We also present some sufficient conditions for systems with nonhomogeneous nonlinearities of degrees two, three and five.     

A nonlinear model for marble sulphation including surface rugosity and mechanical damage

Here we propose and analyze a mathematical model that aims to describe the marble sulphation process occurring in a given material. The model accounts for rugosity as well as for damaging effects. This model is characterized by some technical difficulties that seem hard to overcome from a theoretical viewpoint. Therefore, we introduce some physically reasonable modifications in order to establish the existence of a suitable notion of solution on a given time interval. Numerical simulations are presented and discussed, also in view of further research.     

Pure tetrahedral quadruple systems with index two

An oriented tetrahedron defined on four vertices is a set of four cyclic triples with the property that any ordered pair of vertices is contained in exactly one of the cyclic triples. A tetrahedral quadruple system of order $n$ with index $\lambda$, denoted by ${\text{TQS}}_{\lambda }\left(n\right)$, is a pair $\left(X,\mathrm{?}\right)$, where $X$ is an $n$‐set and $\mathrm{?}$ is a set of oriented tetrahedra (blocks) such that every cyclic triple on $X$ is contained in exactly $\lambda$ members of $\mathrm{?}$. A ${\text{TQS}}_{\lambda }\left(n\right)$ is pure if there do not exist two blocks with the same vertex set. When $\lambda =1$, the spectrum of a pure TQS $\left(n\right)$ has been completely determined by Ji. In this paper, we show that there exists a pure ${\text{TQS}}_2\left(n\right)$ if and only if $n\equiv 1,2\left(\mathrm{mod}3\right)$ and $n\ge 7$. A corollary is that a simple ${\text{QS}}_4\left(n\right)$ also exists if and only if $n\equiv 1,2\left(\mathrm{mod}3\right)$ and $n\ge 7$.

求解代数方程组是计算代数几何的最基本问题之一,孤立奇异解的计算则是其中最具挑战性的课题之一,在科学与工程计算中有着广泛的应用,如机器人、计算机视觉、机器学习、人工智能、运筹学、密码学和控制论等.本文结合作者的研究成果,综述了符号数值方法在计算代数系统孤立奇异解、特别是近似奇异解精化与验证方面的研究进展,并对未来的研究方向提出了展望.     

On Hr(curl,Ω) estimates for a Maxwell type system in convex domains

In bounded convex domains, the regularity of a vector field u with its $\mathrm{div}\mathbf{u}$, $\mathrm{curl}\mathbf{u}$ in $L^r$ space and the tangential component or the normal component of u over the boundary in $L^r$ space, is established for $1<r<\infty$. As an application, we derive an $H^r(\mathrm{curl},\mathrm{\Omega })$ estimate for solutions to a Maxwell type system with an inhomogeneous boundary condition in convex domains. In contrast to the well-posed region of r in the space $H^r(\mathrm{curl},\mathrm{\Omega })$ for the Maxwell type system in Lipschitz domains given by Kar and Sini (2016) [16], we extend the well-posed region to be optimal.
